Programs in Egypt

In both the four- and six-week options, students will study in Cairo at the International Language Institute in Muhandiseen, and live in shared apartments nearby the institute. This excellent academic program allows students to discover this wonderful city, take weekend trips elsewhere in the country, and practice their new language skills in their daily lives to take care of a variety of the tasks. The institute is a wonderful community of international students from all over the world. Students will study both MSA and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic intensively for several hours a day, and use the language to discover the city and its cultural riches in the afternoon, evening and weekends. A few side trips are planned by the institute. See www.arabicegypt.com.

Program in Jordan

This program provides students with 25 hours a week of instruction in Arabic, both Standard and Jordanian dialect. In addition, students will enjoy trips to major cultural and archaeological sites that enrich the students' experience and cultural knowledge significantly. They will live in Amman, a major capital of the Arabic world, with room and board organized by the American Center for Oriental Research in close proximity to the University. This trip combines remarkable opportunities to improve language skills and cultural knowledge, and to maintain close connections with the American institution and their security provisions.
